Handmade knife measures about 6 3/4 inches overall. The blade was hand forged of 1075 high carbon spring steel. It was quenched in oil and drawn to approximately 59 on the Rockwell scale. The grind is a wide hollow grind. It has been worked to approximately 1/8th inch thick.
The hilt is white tail deer antler brought back from the woods by one of my dogs. I drilled it and then hollowed it out with small rasps. The tang of the blade runs almost the full length of the hilt. At each end of the hilt, the pommel and bolster were poured in place from lead free pewter.
