Approximately 6 3/4 inch in overall length. The hand forged blade began as a 1/4 inch thick bar worked down to about half that thickness. It has been quenched in oil and drawn twice to about 58 on the Rockwell hardness scale.
The hilt is white tail dear antler. I took this piece in trade, it was most likely hunted as the crown where it once joined the skull is still intact. I hollowed the antler out with rasps about three quarters of the way down. The bolster is pewter that I poured in place, not only forming the bolster but running down the inside the antler hilt.
